Barbara J. Dennis

Barbara Dennis, 65, of Bridgewater, NJ, sadly lost her battle against cancer on Saturday, November 26, 2022. She was a warrior who never complained once, a perfect example of bravery and hope. Born in Denville, NJ, Barbara grew up in Parsippany, one of six children, before settling in Bridgewater 40 years ago.

Barbara had a brilliant mind and graduated with honors from Montclair State University with a BS in Chemistry. Prior to her retirement in 2021, she was an Expert Technologist-OEM Relations with BP (Castrol) for 40 plus year.

Barbara was one of the 1st female members of the American Society of Chemists. She loved taking trips to the Jersey Shore especially going to L.B.I., doing crossword puzzles, watching cooking shows, traveling frequently to South America and through the Caribbean. Barbara's proudest role was being a mother and grandmother. Her beautiful face lit up with joy if you asked her about her grandson, Chase.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mary and Bernard Dennis, a sister, Mary Kay Ivory, a nephew, Army Specialist Craig S. Ivory, and her Rottie, Chooch who battled cancer alongside her and lost his battle just days before her.

Surviving are her loving daughter, Lauren Ricciardi of Bridgewater, NJ; her cherished grandson, Chase Michael, a sister, Bernadette Dennis of Morristown, NJ; a nephew, Zachary Schoner of Stanhope, NJ; and her dear friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 6-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 with a prayer service starting at 7:30pm.

A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11am at Holy Trinity Church in Bridgewater, NJ.
