Anthony J. Mattei , 58, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at his residence. Born in the province of Latina, Naples, Italy, he immigrated to the United States in 1957. A former resident of Raritan, he resided in Branchburg for the past six years. For the past year he worked for Cargo Express in Greenbrook as an equipment maintainer and yard switcher. Anthony was a former truck driver for Ply Fiber of Raritan. He was a communicant of the St. Ann's R.C. Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gino and Frank. Surviving are his beloved wife of 31 years, Jill McCoubrey Mattei, his loving sons, Joseph of Allentown, Pa. and John of Branchburg, his cherished granddaughter, Brittany Arthur, his dear brother Mario Mattei and sister-in-law Barbara of Middlesex and his dear sister Maria Grossi and brother-in-law Joseph of Iselin.
