Anne V. Morrone, 91, of Hillsborough, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville. Born in Plainfield, NJ, she raised her family in North Plainfield, and spent her last years of her life in Hillsborough.
Anne was a former member of the Italian American Club in North Plainfield.
Anne loved being a volunteer at various senior citizen centers, knitting, crocheting, spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, helping anyone in need, cooking, and making her "famous" meatballs for her son. Her beautiful smile and tremendous heart will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Joseph Anthony (1960); her loving husband of 38 years, Joseph; her sister, Angela Muldowney; and her brother, Guy Mastroianni.
Surviving are her dear son, James and wife Margaret of Lumberton, NJ; two loving daughters, Marianne Morrone of Hillsborough, NJ and Teresa Potter of California, MD; her brother, Anthony and wife Marilyn Mastroianni of Bridgewater, NJ; five cherished grandchildren, David, Danielle, Steven, Rebecca, and Rachel; and two adored great-grandchildren, Liam and Ava.
Viewing will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
Funeral services will start with a prayer service at the funeral home at 10am on Saturday, September 29, 2018 followed by interment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
