Anne D'Urso, age 85, entered eternal rest on January 8, 2019 in Bridgewater, NJ. In 1933 in Brooklyn, NY, the former Anna Carmela Massaro was born to Anna and Antimo Massaro, both Italian immigrants. She attended Lafayette High School and worked as book keeper after graduation. She married Guy D'Urso on May 23, 1954 and remained his devoted wife for over 64 years. Anne and Guy built a wonderful family life, raising five children in Brooklyn and later in Baldwin, Long Island and Bridgewater, NJ. For the past 17 years, Anne and Guy enjoyed retirement on the waterfront of Silver Bay in Toms River, NJ. Anne's greatest love and fulfillment in life was her husband and family. She was known to advise her children about the virtues of "everything in moderation", yet the Italian meals she served for family, friends and neighbors were anything but moderate. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Massaro; and two sisters, Rose LaManna and Anna LaBella. Anne is survived by her husband, Guy D'Urso of Bridgewater, NJ; their children: Maria Alsamadisi & husband Morsy of Bridgewater; Patrick D'Urso and wife Noemy of Poughkeepsie, NY; Anne Louise and husband Stephen Rose of Malden, MA; Guy and wife Bonnie Baltazar of El Dorado Hills, CA; and John and Alissa Sartorini of Bridgewater; her brother, Dominick and wife Connie Massaro. Anne is also survived by 10 grandchildren she adored and many relatives and friends. Viewing for Anne will be held from 1-5pm on Sunday, January 13, at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Route 202 South, Branchburg NJ, 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at 9:15am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00am funeral liturgy at St. Bernard R.C. Church in Bridgewater.
