Anna G. Amorosa , 100, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Manhattan and a former resident of Raritan, Anna resided in Bridgewater since 1995. Mrs. Amorosa was a former seamstress in the New York garment district and then worked for N.J. Bell as a telephone operator. She was a communicant of St. Ann's R.C. Church in Raritan. Anna enjoyed gambling in Atlantic City and playing the lottery games. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmine "Cucci" Amorosa, in 1994; brothers, Benjamin, William and Frank Grippo; sisters, Jeanette DiGregorio, Mary Grippo and Theresa Fazio. Surviving are her loving daughter, Rita Giovannucci and her husband, Starr, with whom Anna resided, her cherished granddaughter, Gina Giovannucci of Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Jamie and Barbara Ann Giovannucci and Nicole Copeland; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 followed by a 10 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Ann's R.C. Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan. Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery & Mausoleum, Route 28, Bridgewater.
