Ann M. Sullivan

Ann M. Sullivan, 83, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 10, 2023 at RWJ Hospital in Somerville with her family by her side. Born in Manhattan, Ann resided in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Bridgewater 58 years ago.

Ann graduated from St. Joseph Commercial High School in Brooklyn, Class of 1957. After graduating, she worked for Morgan Guaranty Trust Company in Manhattan until 1965 when she moved to Bridgewater, devoting her time to raising her family. In 1983, Ann returned to the workplace, becoming a Receptionist at Bridgeway Care Center for 20 plus years before her retirement in 2004.

Ann volunteered at Bridgeway Care Center, Bridgewater, as well as Avalon and Bridgeway Care Center, Hillsborough, for many years, where she would pray the Rosary. Sharing her time and faith with the residents became her passion and vocation. Ann was a member of the Holy Trinity Altar Rosary Society, holding various offices over the years, including President and Secretary. She was an avid Bingo worker for Holy Trinity, a PTO mother at John F. Kennedy Elementary School, and a member of the Country Hills Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary.

As a child, Ann learned how to Irish step dance and enjoyed watching Riverdance. She loved doing word search puzzles, taking care of her garden, and watching Hallmark movies. Ann took pleasure in vacations to the Jersey Shore especially Sea Isle City and Wildwood and attending the various sporting, dancing, and musical activities of her family. Most importantly, Ann enjoyed spending quality time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Annette McDonough, her sister, Elizabeth Naccari, her dear daughter, Eileen, and her beloved husband William J. "Hon" Sullivan (2021).

Surviving are her three loving daughters, Joann and husband Francis Gavigan of Hillsborough, NJ; Patricia Sullivan of Bridgewater, NJ; Susan and husband Robert Kravitz of Asbury, NJ; dear son, William J. Sullivan of Bridgewater, NJ; six cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Ryan, Amanda, Benjamin, Owen, and Sara, many loving nieces and nephews, and her canine companion, Bailey.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 9:15am. Funeral mass will take place on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 10am at Holy Trinity Church in Bridgewater. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater.
