Angela F. Schmitt Neshanic Station, NJ Angela F. Schmitt, 89, of Neshanic Station, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at her home surrounded by all her family. She was born in Jersey City, NJ, on January 6, 1928, to her late parents Lydia and Louis Sigo. She resided there for 65 years of her life before moving to Neshanic Station 15 years ago. Angela attended Ferris High School in Jersey City where she was an officer of her senior class and was on the honor society for all 4 years of High School. Later in her life she became the president of the PTA for P.S. #25 in Jersey City and served as Committee Woman Republican Club of Jersey City for several years with her husband Fred (Smitty). Angela became a member of both the Branchburg Senior Citizens and St. Elizabeth Ann Seniors when she moved to Neshanic Station. She loved doing crossword puzzles, fishing, crocheting, was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her. Angela is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 32 years, Frederick (1983); 3 cherished sisters, Louise, Irene, and Georgianna; and her dear son, Robert E. Schmitt. Surviving are her 3 loving daughters, Linda Schmitt-Grijalva of Branchburg, NJ, Catherine and husband Ralph Rossi of Branchburg, NJ, and Loraine Crohan of Whitehall, PA; 6 cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Alyson, Anthony, Andrew, Christopher, and Frederick; her adored great-grandson, Robert; her wonderful daughter-in-law, Joann Beleski Schmitt of NJ; and her special family friends Thomas Campana and Tony Callandrillo. Viewing will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 Funeral services will start with a prayer at the funeral home at 9:15am on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, followed by a 10am funeral liturgy at St. Bernard R.C. Church in Bridgewater, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
