Obituary

Amasilia "Amy" Budzinski, 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bound Brook, NJ, Amy lived in Flemington for 28 years before moving to Allentown, NJ 15 years ago. Amy's passions were her family, faith and education. Her infectious personality, positivity, humor and dedication defined her both personally and professionally. She was a teacher for many years in the Bridgewater-Raritan School District, later while raising a family she attended night school to earn a Master's in Library Science from Rutgers University and was a librarian in Bridgewater until she retired. She was a proud member of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church and St. Bernard's R.C. Church, N.J. Education Association, Manville Volunteer Fire Company #3 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society. She was an avid reader and loved traveling, especially in Italy. Throughout all her travels, professional and personal achievements family and faith were the most important. She loved cooking (especially her world-famous lasagna) and baking for her family, knitting and doing needlepoint. Her happiest times were spent with her large extended family, hosting family reunions, visiting friends and later in life spending quality time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving parents Vincenza and Anthony Biondo and the love of her life, her beloved husband John T. Budzinski of 32 years. Surviving are her devoted son Thaddeus and wife Patti Budzinski of Robbinsville, NJ; her loving daughter Joy and husband Kristopher Carney of Summit, NJ; her dear sister Rosalie and husband Charles Savare of Hillsborough, NJ; three adoring grandchildren Lauren, John, and Graham and many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at the funeral home at 9:15am on Monday, October 28, 2019 at followed by a 10am funeral mass at St. Bernard's R.C. Church in Bridgewater, NJ. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St Jude Children's Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
