Alvin Colanduoni Jr., 93

Alvin Colanduoni Jr., 93, was born on August 13, 1932, and passed away on November 27, 2025, in New Brunswick, NJ. He is survived by his devoted wife, Phylis, and their sons, Paul and Richard. Alvin was the cherished son of Alvin and Rose Colanduoni, and a loving brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was predeceased by his sister, Jennie.

Affectionately known as "Junior," Alvin was born and raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School before serving proudly in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After returning home, he joined his father at Carburetor and Ignition in Raritan, eventually taking ownership of the family business upon his father's passing.

Alvin and Phylis settled in Bridgewater in the early 1960s, where they built a warm and welcoming home that remained the heart of their family for more than six decades. In his spare time, Alvin pursued his passion for collecting battery-operated toys, traveling to toy shows throughout the region. He also delighted in discovering unique collectibles at garage sales and craft fairs, often buying and reselling the items he found.

Family, relatives, and friends are invited to Alvin's viewing on Wednesday, December 3, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Route 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ 08869.

The burial will follow at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Cemetery, 551 NJ-28, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 .
