Adolph A. Russo Branchburg, NJ Adolph A. Russo, 89, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2015. Born in Raritan NJ he resided there before moving to Branchburg in 1961. Mr. Russo served in the US Navy in the Seabees, CBMU 559 from 1943-1946 where he received two medals, one for The American Theatre and the second for Victory. He was employed by GSA Depot in Belle Meade NJ for 40 years. He was a member of the Branchburg Senior Citizens and a former member of the VFW Sante Moretti Post 1748 of Raritan. He was a communicant of St. Ann's R.C. Church in Raritan. Adolph was an avid reader who enjoyed reading about World War II history. His other passion was gardening and traveling with his beloved wife Shirley. He is preceded in death by his sisters Anna Zulan, Jennie Marini, and Josephine Haberin, and his brothers Michael, Jerry, and Art Russo. Surviving are his beloved wife of 64 years, Shirley De Decker Russo, his dear son Mark and wife Susan of Branchburg NJ; his loving daughter Denise and husband Angelo, his wonderful sister Mary Clim of VA; and his cherished grandchildren, Jonathan, Michele, Meghan, and Nicholas, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Viewing will be held from 3-7 PM on Wednesday January 7, 2015 at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg NJ 08876. Prayer services will begin Thursday January 8, 2015 at 9:15 AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10 AM funeral liturgy at St. Ann's R.C. Church in Raritan. Entombment will follow in the St. Bernard's Mausoleum in Bridgewater.
