Susan Lichanec Karlik , 95, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Born in Armstrong, PA, and raised in Stafford Springs, CT, Susan resided in Linden before moving to Branchburg twelve years ago. Mrs. Karlik was a homemaker and avid gardener. She most recently enjoyed oil painting and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, John R. Karlik, in 1996; and her four brothers, Andrew, Jr., Paul, John, and Daniel Lichanec. Surviving are her loving daughter, Susan A. Cusumano and her husband, Joseph P. of Branchburg; her loving son, John N. Karlik and his wife, Lynn of Creswell, OR; her three cherished grandchildren, Joseph P. Cusumano II, Susanna V. Duggan, and Pieter S. Karlik; and her six great-grandchildren, Joseph P. Cusumano III, Kimberly L. Cusumano, Samuel B. Cusumano, Julia S. Duggan, John Karlik, and Phoebe Karlik. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012, from 10 to 12 PM at the Calvary Bible Church, 144 Readington Road, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889 with a Prayer Service to begin at 12 PM. Interment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
