Russell McKay
, 62, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Born in Hackensack and formerly of Saddle Brook, Russell resided in Bridgewater for the past twelve years.
Mr. McKay was a veteran of the United States Army.
Russell was the owner and operator of both Brook Metal Products and Venture Shuffle Board in Hillside, for the past 23 years.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George and wife, Beatrice; and two sisters, Rose Jandrositz and husband, Frank and Barbara Keller and husband, Francis.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 41 years, Deborah DeBoer McKay; his loving daughter, Wendy Merendino and husband, Jonathan of Lawrenceville; his loving son, Christopher McKay and wife, Elizabeth of Peach Tree City, GA; six cherished grandchildren, Noah, Zachary, Emma, Colin, Joshua, and Caitlin; his dearest mother, Rose McKay of Bridgewater; two brothers, Richard McKay of Toms River and Edward McKay and wife, Elaine of Westchester, PA; and two sisters, Lorraine Cupo of Clifton and Debra Sparagosky and husband, Richard of Fairlawn.
A Prayer Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638. Viewing hours are Friday, December 2, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
