Robert Cofield , 38, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at his residence. Born in Bayonne, N.J., he resided in Raritan for the past several years. He was a Union Carpenter and member the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, local 157 in Manhattan, N.Y. for ten years until retiring in 2004. Robert was a volunteer firefighter with Stroud Township Fire Department and a volunteer EMT with General Ambulance Corp. in Stroudsburg, Pa. Surviving are his loving wife of 11 years Christina Howell-Cofield and his loving sons Roger and Matthew at home. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Friday at the St. Bernards R.C. Church 500 Highway 22 East, Bridgewater, N.J. Graveside services will follow at the St. Bernards Cemetery, Bridgewater, N.J. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Highway 202 south, Branchburg, N.J.
