Lourice Awad , 80, of Flemington, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Cairo, Egypt, she resided in Flemington since 1984. Lourice was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and devoted herself to her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a light-hearted, spirited person, who will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fakhery Gad, in 1972. Surviving are her loving children, Eman Saied and husband, Maher, Yvette Gallagher and husband, Kevin and Ehab Gad; her cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Mark, Amanda, and Andrew; her dear sister, Georgette Awad and her dear brothers, Wadie Awad and wife, Sanna and Mounir Awad and wife, Kathy. Funeral services will begin with a prayer on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 9:30 AM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08807 (908)526-7638 followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church, 433 Riva Avenue, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. Entombment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater. Viewing hours will be Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
