Obituary

Karin Spiegel Sattler-Kutsera , 67, died Friday, May 20th 2005 at her residence. Born in Ahlen, Germany she settled in Brooklyn where she resided until moving to Bridgewater 34 years ago. She attended Ahlen High School in Germany, and the Sorbonne College in Paris, where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree. Karen received her Masters degree in German from Rutgers University, New Brunswick in 1983. She was an educator of German, French, and ESL with the Bernards Township school system for 25 years, retiring in 2004. She was an instructor and member of Literacy Volunteers of America. Karen was an avid skier and a member of Belleayre Mountain Ski Club. Surviving are her beloved husband of 14 years Emil, her loving son Michael Sattler and daughter- in-law Rose of San Francisco, California, a loving daughter Felicia Lipansky and son-in-law Adam of Alameda California, her dear stepson Steven Kutsera of Bridgewater, her dearest mother Marga Spiegel of Munster, Germany, her cherished grandchildren Siegmund, Isaac, and Lila, and her brother Daniel Spiegel of Ibiza, Spain. A gathering of family and friends will be celebrated Monday, May 23rd at 1PM at the family residence at 616 Foothill Rd, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Any tributes of love may be in the form of memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, Somerset Unit, 600 1st Ave. Raritan, NJ 08869.
