Francesca Di Vito Raritan, NJ Francesca Di Vito, 89, of Raritan, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at her home. Born and raised in Valentano, Italy, she immigrated to the United States where she resided in Brooklyn for many years before moving to Raritan, NJ 12 years ago. Mrs. Di Vito was a communicant of St. Ann's R.C. Church in Raritan. She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets, sewing, cleaning and keeping her house spotless, being a true homemaker, traveling to her home in Valentano, Italy every summer, and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her caring heart and beautiful smile will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Felice Scipione and Domenica Battisti; her beloved husband of 44 years, Augusto Di Vito (1990); 2 brothers, Cruciano and Benito Scipione; and her sister Mother Superior Anastasia. Surviving are her dear son, Massimo Di Vito of Bayville, NJ; her loving daughter, Alberta and husband Michael De George of Somerset, NJ; her wonderful sister, Giustina Mazzel of Rome, Italy; 4 cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Franco, and Alexandra; and 4 adored great-grandchildren, Michael, John, Matthew, and Mariella. Viewing will be held Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 1-5pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at the funeral home at 9:15am on Monday, July 17, 2017 followed by a 10:00am funeral liturgy at St. Ann R.C. Church 45 Anderson St. Raritan, NJ 08869.
