Charles A. Mittermaier Branchburg, NJ Charles A. Mittermaier, 62, passed away in a fatal car accident on March 5, 2015. He was born in Newark, NJ on January 12, 1953 to Eleanor (Ceriani) and Joseph Mittermaier. Charlie was a hardworking man who loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughter Kaitlyn. He had a passion for cooking and never went a day without preparing something sensational. He was an adventurer who loved to travel the United States, Europe, and Canada with his wife and their friends. Charlie and his family cherished time together every summer on Long Beach Island, where lifelong memories were made. He served as a mentor and leader to not only his loved ones but to those with whom he worked at Custom Index and more recently in the Legal Department at Robert Wood Johnson. Animals always held a special place in his heart; he was never without a canine companion. Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Lydia (Coulson) Mittermaier of 40 years in Branchburg; his cherished daughter, Danielle (Mittermaier) Fisher and her husband Bradley of Philadelphia, PA; a loving granddaughter, Kaitlyn; two brothers, Robert Mittermaier and his wife, Kathleen of Parsippany, and Donald Mittermaier and his wife, Patti of Asbury; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved parents; his sister-in-law, Patricia Coulson; and his father-in-law, Robert Coulson. Viewing will be held Monday March 9, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876, (908-526-7638). A prayer service will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Committal is private.
