Amalia Russo Bound Brook, NJ Amalia Russo, 68, of Bound Brook, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2017. Born in Giardini Naxos, Sicily, she immigrated to the USA where she resided in Bridgewater, NJ, for 21 years before moving to Bound Brook 16 years ago. Mrs. Russo owned and operated Red Star Cleaners from 1981-1989, and was most recently the head seamstress at Jefre Bridal for 16 years. Amalia enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crafting, and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the loves of her life. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carmela Mazzullo and Antonino Falanga; her loving brother in law, Antonino Russo; and her husband Sebastiano Russo. Surviving are her 2 loving daughters, Maria and husband Jeffrey Parisi of Bound Brook, NJ and Melina and husband Luis Alvarez of Clifton, NJ; 4 cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Addison, Mia, and Luis; her dear brother, Victor and wife Erminia Falanga of Bound Brook, NJ; her 2 wonderful nieces, Rita and husband John Russomano of Branchburg, NJ and Silvia Koeller of Bound Brook, NJ; her great nieces, Alexandra, Stephanie, and Zoey; and her great nephew, Nicholas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10am at St. Bernard's R.C. Church, 500 US-22, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 followed by entombment at St. Bernard's Cemetery & Mausoleum.
