Alice Barstaitis Retired assembly line worker Branchburg Alice (Burke) Barstaitis, 80 died Thursday, September 09, 2004 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. Born in Bound Brook, NJ she resided most of her life in Branchburg. Mrs. Barstaitis was an assembly line worker for 30 years for the former Diehl Corporation in Finderne. Alice was a communicant of Holy Trinity R. C. Church in Bridgewater and a member of its altar roasry society. She was also a member the Branchburg Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crafting and taking trips to Atlantic City. Mrs. Barstaitis was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Stanley in 1994 and her brothers Joseph J. Burke and William J. Burke. Surviving are her sisters, Martha Burke of Bound Brook and Dorothy DiLorio of Westfield and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 U.S. Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Holy Trinity R. C. Church in Bridgewater. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Mausoleum, Piscataway. Visitation hours are Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
