Robert E. Young, 83, passed away on Monday, June 04, 2012 at Van Dyke Hospice & Palliative Care Center in Toms River. Born Jersey City, Robert resided in Branchburg for 39 years before moving to Manchester fourteen years ago.
Mr. Young was a veteran of the United States Army.
Robert was the owner and operator of Robert Young Landscaping for 42 years, until 2000. He then worked part-time as a driver for Hillsborough Township for Senior Services.
Robert was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed taking trips with his wife to Atlantic City.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gene D. and Mary Greene Young; and his dear brother, David Young.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years, Dorothy Clark Young; his loving sons, Jay Young and his wife, Diane of Flemington and Bobby Young and his wife, Joni of Bridgewater; his two cherished grandchildren, Tori and Jillian; his dear sister, Mary Ann Conroy of Basking Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 9:15 AM on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by a 10 AM Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges. Viewing hours are Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 5 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
