Marie C. Foresti, 89, of Bridgewater, NJ, formally of Dunellen, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, she resided in Dunellen for 15 years before moving to Bridgewater 8 years ago.
While living in Dunellen, Mrs. Foresti was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and member of the Dunellen Senior Citizens.
Marie was an avid reader, enjoyed going to the library, doing arts and crafts, playing bingo, dancing, taking walks, and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was kind hearted, outgoing, funny, would do anything to make you smile, and was a pleasure to be around. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Mary and Leonard Deddo; her beloved husband of 42 years, Edward H. Foresti (1994); 4 sisters, Minnie, Jane, Margaret, and Betty; and 2 brothers, Sonny and Jimmy.
Surviving are her loving daughter, Doris and husband Paul Mignano Jr. of Dunellen, NJ; 2 dear brothers, Michael and wife Kathy Deddo of Staten Island, NY, and Joseph Deddo of Pisgah Forest, NC; 3 cherished grandchildren, Sean and wife Erin Mignano of Ashburn, VA, Lesa and husband Todd Breiner of Zionsville, PA, and Erica Mignano of Dunellen, NJ; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viewing will be held Thursday, March 02, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
Funeral services will begin with a viewing from 9:30-10:00 am followed by a 10:00 am prayer service at the funeral home on Friday, March 03, 2017.
Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Iselin, NJ.
