Claudio Crisafulli Sr., 76, of Raritan, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Somerset. Born in Pola, Italy on July 03, 1940, he immigrated to the United States in 1951 and resided in Raritan, NJ for the past 63 years.
Mr. Crisafulli was a graduate of Somerville High School where he was a two-sport varsity letter winner in Football and Track. After graduating from High School, he spent four years in the US Air Force stationed at various posts in Europe. He went on to graduate from Union College with a degree in Accounting and spent more than 35 years as a corporate Accountant and Internal Auditor. Prior to his retirement in 2002, Mr. Crisafulli was the Executive Director and Chief of Internal Audit for the Con-Air Corporation where worked for 15 years.
He was a communicant of St. Ann's R.C. Church in Raritan and member of the American Legion Manville Post 0304 and Bradley Gardens Post 327.
Claudio was a big NASCAR enthusiast who often traveled to races and events with friends. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, barbequing, and took great pride in his yard. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Maria and Giuseppe Crisafulli and his beloved wife of 28 years, Gail Crisafulli (1995).
He is survived by his son, Claudio Jr. and wife Dana of Wayne, NJ; his son, James of Miami, FL; his loving companion of 20 years, Karen Brannon of Raritan, NJ; his brother, Astolfo and wife Sara of Flemington, NJ; his cherished granddaughter, Gianna; and his wonderful niece and nephew, Katie and Shawn.
Viewing will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11am followed by interment at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Bridgewater.
