Obituary

Ann “Nancy” Melahn
Branchburg, NJ

Ann “Nancy” Melahn, 77, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2017. Born in Elizabeth, NJ she was raised and lived in Union, NJ for nearly 60 years and retired to Manchester, NJ for 10 years before residing in Branchburg, NJ for her last 7 years.
“Beloved wife, mother and grandmother has passed on to an imperishable inheritance because of her faith in Christ, the very thing into which angels long to look.”
An angel living here on earth has moved on to continue God’s love and work for eternity in the heavens above. Our mom was the kindest, sweetest woman who walked the face of this earth. She cherished her family and loved and adored them unconditionally. That was her whole passion in life. So, when you feel a cool breeze blowing through your body you know that is “mom” letting you know her wings are gently flapping to make her presence felt and letting you know that the Lords’ love abounds.
Nancy loved gardening and doing crossword puzzles. She enjoyed spending quality time with all of her grandchildren and she loved her dog Penny.
She was active in Stephen Ministry at Redeemer Lutheran Church and was also active in Ladies Bible Study at Calvary Community Church.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents Grace and Daniel; her beloved husband Eugene of 51 years, a son Eugene and granddaughter Danielle.
Surviving are her dear sons Daniel and his long time girlfriend Stephanie of Conway, SC; Joseph and wife Cynthia of Toms River, NJ; James and wife Janice of Fremont, CA; 2 adored daughters Denise DeFalco and her husband Daniel of Brick, NJ; Dawn D’Aries and her husband Lawrence of Branchburg, NJ, 3 wonderful sisters, Eleanor of Florham Park, NJ; Peggy of Virginia Beach, VA; Carol of Union, NJ and 7 cherished grandchildren; Stephen and wife Tanya; Aaron and wife Gianne; Nicole and husband Mathew; Ashley; Ian; Jesse and Tara.
